Okay... I'm sorry. When I do stuff for other people I tend to rush because I want to get it done quickly and it never turns out quite right. TT____TT
Kiriban for ! He is a wonderful artist and a great person (as much as I can observe), and I owe him quite a bit for his tips, advice and encouragement. ^^ This is Terra, a character from his manga . My picture really doesn't do her justice. I wish I'd been able to depict her better. I tried to give her an ethereal look, but the result was that she looks somewhat two-dimensional and... way too thin. I don't know how that happened, I really don't. I've sworn off making people look like mannequins, but, well... =___=
The title is "As Long as it Takes" because Terra's the sort of character whom I imagine really would wait as long as it took, for whatever or whomever she was waiting for, and especially for a loved one. The flowers in her hair are daisies, for purity and innocence, and in her hands she's holding blue hyacinths, representing constancy.
Let me first say that I think you picked the perfect colors for Terra chan here. Because of that, everything else, the title, the pose, the background, just seems to work.
-I always wondered what she'd look like in a whispy white outfit like that , and it looks good on her. ^__^ It manages to show some skin, without looking sleazy, which is what I always try to go for with characters like Terra.
- I think you drew her hair and face perfectly for this; (the extra strands in her hair really make it look flowy) she manages to still have all the essence of my character, even though you stuck to your own style. (Which is good, because there is nothing more pointless than a fanart that just copies the original, line for line. ) She looks very innocent and faithful, and the longer I look at this one, the more I like it.
-Lastly, I'd say you have the right idea for the proportions; I think a thin shoujo style could actually work pretty well for Terra, (She does look very pure and elegant) and it looks like you drew everything the correct height, I think the only thing throwing her off is, you just didn't draw her hips wide enough. A good rule of thumb for next time is, try to keep the shoulders and hips around the same width; this helps make the waist look more pleasing. (I did the exact same thing with my proportions when I was your age, actually. It wasn't until I became a Deviant that I actually started drawing the hips more. It is tricky to get into a good habit. )

I don't really know what to say ^__^; It's really really pretty! I'm actually glad you used some bright colors, they look really good. And the flowers are really cool, too! I can't draw flowers, hehe. So yeah, it's awesome and pretty and stuff!

^_____^ I'm so glad you like it! I was scared because I thought I'd botched Terra. Thanks for your praise Yep, I always seem to have problems with the hips and waist. I half-noticed during the coloring, but it was too late to do anything by then I'll work on that. Thank you!

No, thank you! This one made my day. ^__^ Would you mind if I ended up doing my own version of this, sometime? I think it would make a great chapter cover sometime down the road.
As for the hips, don't worry about it. It's still a lot better then I was around your age. You still have plenty of time to grow. I used to have that exact same habit with the hips, too. Behold: [link]
